This session is by invitation only and should include a team of 4 from each school (the principal and three invited members of the school’s guiding coalition). The session has two primary objectives and will serve as a foundation for future PD and leadership training: Objective 1: Focus guiding coalition efforts on our two primary initiatives — Belonging and High Reliability Schools (HRS). We’ll explore how High Reliability Schools and the work of Belonging complement and support one another as a foundation for school improvement. We will emphasize the guiding coalition’s role as the sustaining force behind this work. Objective 2: Connect the work of guiding coalitions to each school’s Culture & Climate goal. We’ll identify ways to use school improvement planning goals to sustain prior years’ “Priority Schools” work by transitioning leadership and responsibility to the guiding coalition. During the session, teams will have time to: Discuss their goal Analyze next steps Evaluate their implementation plan Set benchmarks to guide progress through our next meeting
