Designed for elementary teachers who have completed the thinkSRSD Basic Writing training, this advanced session takes a deeper dive into the "D" of TIDE. Just as construction workers use strong materials and careful craftsmanship to build a sturdy structure, writers use examples, evidence, connections, and elaboration to strengthen their ideas. Participants will explore how to explicitly teach Detailed Examination, experience a model lesson, and leave with practical tools, resources, and strategies to help students turn simple ideas into sturdy, well-crafted paragraphs. Important: This advanced course builds on prior thinkSRSD training. Participants should have a foundational understanding of the framework, as basic concepts will not be covered.
